Matt Chua, now known to many as MDC, slowly moved into the Hip-Hop world in 2005. He was part of a group known as the MC Army which consisted of 3 emcees and 2 singers. They came together to create their first project titled "Marshall Law" that barely turned anybodys attention towards the young up-and-comers. In 2006, Chua decided he'd work on a solo mixtape which turned into an album called "Just A Glimpse" where he'd focus on his life and the beginnings of his Rap career. He was able to capture and perfectly blend his raw emotions into the music which would be one of his many attributes. His strong debut as a lone lyricist turned many in his direction and they awaited if he could build on the momentum. Chua did just that after his 2 year hiatus, crafting and changing his whole style, releasing his cleverly titled "Curse Of The 2s" album. Transfering his powerful words from the first CD with a new arsenal he developed on his break, MDC surpassed the limits many placed on him and finally got the credit he worked so hard for. 2009, MDC announced he was going to come out with a concept album that would have no cursing and none of the seriousness he portrayed in his first two albums. Many speculated the bold move wondering if this would be a mistake or bring back that "old school" feel to Hip-Hop. July finally revealed to the world and the internet what people now call his best work yet "Be Easy." Again MDC shows his versitility and charisma but in a way where literally every age group and race can listen without having to fear explicit content and lyrics. With accomplishing three well-rounded albums and setting the bar as an ultimate performer, MDC could engrave his name as one of the future emcees of Hip-Hop.
